Responsibilities:
- The Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems, often in commercial or industrial settings.
- This includes tasks like diagnosing faults, fixing equipment, carrying out routine maintenance, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently.
- The candidate may also be involved in new installations, customer interaction, and providing technical support to other team members.
- Performing routine maintenance, diagnosing faults, and repairing broken systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues with refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, often using diagnostic tools and software.
- Handling refrigerant gases safely and legally, adhering to environmental regulations.
- Maintaining detailed records of work performed, including service reports, compliance certificates, and equipment logs.
- Advising customers on system upgrades, energy-saving options, and maintenance best practices.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with relevant safety regulations and procedures.
- Significant experience in the HVACR sector
- Time Served recognised apprenticeship with a reputable employer
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, including the refrigeration cycle and components, as well as electrical systems related to refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
