Hyreus are seeking a highly motivated UPS Service Engineer to join our clients technical services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and fault diagnosis of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems across customer sites nationwide. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service, along with flexibility to travel and participate in an on-call support rota.

Responsibilities

Commission, service, maintain, and repair UPS systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company procedures

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults efficiently to minimise system downtime

Participate in an on-call rota, providing out-of-hours emergency call-out support as required

Prepare and submit accurate daily service reports and documentation to local management

Ensure full compliance with all applicable health & safety legislation, quality assurance standards, and environmental regulations

Strictly adhere to approved Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and safe systems of work

Liaise professionally with customers on-site, providing technical support and maintaining strong working relationships

Travel nationwide to customer locations to carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities

The Candidate

Recognised electrical qualification (National Craft Certificate, Engineering Diploma, or equivalent)

Previous experience working with UPS systems is desirable but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided

Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications

Experience with cooling systems, power distribution, or critical infrastructure environments is an advantage

Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for training purposes when required

Full, clean driving licence

Strong PC skills, including the ability to complete electronic reports and use diagnostic software

Good organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
