Construction Manager

Hyreus are currently recruiting for a Construction Manager or Project Manager for our clients Energy team. The client is open to seeing individuals experienced in this role or taking the step up from engineer or site manager level.

This role will cover a variety of projects such as but not limited to:

Power cable circuit installations, diversions, refurbishments, new build primary substation construction (up to 132kV), and upgrades/refurbishments of existing substations.

Responsibilities:

Attend site visits and kick-off meetings
Monitoring progress and providing regular updates via lookahead programmes
Build and maintain a good working relationships with the Client and their stakeholders.
Work with the commercial team to identify compensation events and raise early warnings as per NEC contract.
Communicate effectively with everyone in the business as well as the client.

The candidate:

Significant experience in the power / energy / renewables sector ideally in transmission / distribution projects for SPEN, SSE, National Grid etc
33/66kv to 132kv LV to MV experience ideal
Experience on Cabling / OHL projects would be beneficial.
Electrical background ideal but Civils also considered
Knowledge and an understanding or programming specifically on MS Project
Willingness to be in the companies head office and frequently visiting client in their office and also attending live projects.
