​Hyreus are currently recruiting for a HVAC Project Engineer for the successful execution of projects within the HVAC and Process Cooling sector, from initial technical input through to installation and commissioning.

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned projects, liaising with customers, suppliers, sales teams, and subcontractors.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with existing and prospective customers, establishing trust and long-term partnerships.

  • Provide clear and effective communication of complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Conduct site visits alongside Sales Engineers to assess requirements, provide technical guidance, and prepare installation costings and quotations.

  • Manage a high volume of concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring customers are regularly informed of progress.

  • Oversee procurement activities for all equipment and subcontracted works associated with projects under your responsibility.=

  • Participate in project reviews to finalise technical designs and commercial details for new orders.

  • Lead project handover meetings with customers to confirm scope, deliverables, and timelines.

  • Develop detailed project plans and proactively resolve technical and operational challenges.

  • Coordinate equipment supply, parts, and subcontractor activities to meet project milestones and deadlines.

  • Provide ongoing technical support to clients and sales teams throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manage installation and commissioning of industrial cooling systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.

  • Supervise on-site engineers and contractors, ensuring contractual obligations, health and safety requirements, and company standards are met.

  • Allocate resources effectively and assign responsibilities across project teams.

  • Maintain financial control of projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting.

  • Identify and address potential design or implementation issues to minimise risk and rework.

The candidate::

  • Background in Project Engineering or a related technical discipline is advantageous.

  • Experience within the manufacturing, HVAC, or process cooling industries is desirable.

  • Demonstrated project management experience with sound commercial awareness.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.

  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.

  • Valid right to work in the country of application.

  • Full UK driving licence.
