Hyreus are currently recruiting for an Technical Pre-Sales Engineer in Manchester in the HVACR space.
Responsibilities
Technical Support & Expertise
Provide technical support to the Product Sales Team and customers.
Maintain expert-level knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration product range.
Deliver technical training on products and develop supporting materials.
Attend site visits to resolve warranty or technical issues.
Project & Sales Support
Produce accurate project and spare parts quotations.
Manage and maintain the regional project database, ensuring all information is up to date.
Collaborate with the Regional Project Sales Manager and National Business Support Manager on design and product updates.
Support sales and admin teams with customer enquiries, telephone orders, and project coordination.
Administer project orders (K8, System 43, Quote Builder), coordinate delivery schedules, and support project forecasting and invoicing.
Commercial & Administrative Duties
Process sales and purchase orders while maintaining accurate ERP system records.
Ensure compliance with company pricing and discount policies.
Support Project Administrators when required and ensure smooth operational processes.
Liaise with Finance and Sales teams to identify and resolve credit issues.
Promote ancillary product sales and identify additional opportunities through ongoing customer and internal engagement.
Collaboration & Communication
Build and maintain strong working relationships with branch staff, customers, and senior management.
Contribute to enhancing regional technical capabilities and design team performance.
The Candidate
You’ll be someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication and teamwork skills. You enjoy problem-solving, supporting customers, and ensuring projects run smoothly from enquiry to completion.
Minimum of 1 year’s experience in the HVAC industry or building services design.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience with ERP systems such as K8, System 43, or Quote Builder.
